Alumni Association
About:
The Alumni Association of the college started its journey in 2004 with the objective of
building a sustainable bond between the institution and its former students.
Since its inception, the Association has been playing a supportive and constructive role in the
academic, cultural, and developmental activities of the college. It extended active cooperation
during the NAAC Peer Team Visits in 2006 & 2013, and participated enthusiastically in the
Golden Jubilee Celebration of the college in 2018. In each case, alumni members of the college
helped in institutional documentation, student interaction, cultural coordination, and
promotional activities, thereby strengthening the college’s public image and academic
environment.
In recent years, the Alumni Association has taken initiatives toward formal Society Registration,
reflecting its intention to function in a more structured, transparent, and sustainable manner.
This step is expected to enhance its capacity for resource mobilization, networking, and
long-term institutional collaboration.
Aims and Objectives ➕
The Alumni Association broadly seeks to:
Foster lifelong relationships between alumni and the alma mater.
-
Create a platform for interaction, networking, and knowledge exchange among alumni,
students, and faculty.
Encourage alumni participation in academic enrichment through lectures, mentoring, and career guidance.
Support institutional development by contributing ideas, feedback, and, where possible, financial or infrastructural assistance.
Promote the reputation and outreach of the college in society and professional fields.
Provide assistance to economically disadvantaged students through scholarships, book support, or informal mentoring.
Operational Framework and Implementational Focus ➕
The Association generally functions through:
Periodic meetings and reunions to maintain alumni engagement and update institutional developments.
Mentoring and career counselling initiatives, where alumni share professional experiences and employment opportunities with current students.
Participation in institutional events, including seminars, cultural programmes, accreditation processes, and commemorative celebrations.
Database development and digital networking (social media or messaging groups) to ensure continuous communication.
Collaborative initiatives with college authorities, enabling alumni feedback to contribute to quality enhancement and student support services.
Future-oriented activities, such as society registration, structured fundraising, and collaborative projects aimed at institutional growth.
Overall, the Alumni Association of the College has evolved from an informal support network into
a meaningful stakeholder in the college’s quality assurance and community outreach efforts.
With ongoing efforts toward formal registration and structured functioning, the Association is
poised to play an even more significant role in mentoring students, promoting institutional
visibility, and contributing to the holistic development of the college.
