Online B.Ed. Admission Eligibility 2026-28

Candidates having one of the following subjects- 1) Bengali 2) English, 3) History 4) Life Science 5) Geography 6) Mathematics 7) Physics 8) Chemistry in Honours or P.G. or subsidiary/combination subject in Pass Graduation Level with minimum 300 full marks can apply.

Example-1: Example-1: If a candidate had History or Geography in the pass course while doing honours/Major in Philosophy or Political Science and later have completed Post Graduate in Philosophy or Political Science then he/she will be eligible for taking History or Geography as method paper and will be treated as a Pass Graduate. It is to be mentioned that the PG degree will not be considered here for scoring. N.B. Those Honours or PG Candidate who want to take Method from "Pass"/"Combination" subjects due to non-availability of Method subject of their Honours or PG subjects, they have to select Pass level while selecting the qualification and put their full marks and marks obtained in Graduation in the selected Pass level boxes. Their Honours/ PG degree will not be counted.

Example-2: Example-2: If a candidate had not studied History or Geography in the pass course while doing honours/ Major in Philosophy or Political Science and later completed Post Graduation in Philosophy or Political Science then he/she will not be able to apply for B. Ed. Admission to our college.

Example-3:Example-3: If a candidate had not studied History or Geography in the pass course while doing honours/ Major in Philosophy or Political Science and then has done Post Graduate in History or Geography then he/she will be able to apply for B. Ed. Admission as pass graduate with PG.

**Candidates should be Graduates in a school subject from recognised University

**Fresher General Candidates with minimum 50% marks in UG or PG level with School subjects can Apply

***Fresher Candidates with B. E or B.Tech with Science / Mathematics (with 300 marks) with 55% marks or any other equivalent qualification thereto is eligible. For B.E. / B.Tech put marks in Honours Row & for M.Tech/M.E. put marks in Master's row

**Fresher SC/ST Candidates with minimum 45% marks in UG or PG level can Apply

* Fresher General or OBC Candidates within 35 years and SC or ST withing 40 years (as on 07/09/2026) can Apply

* For Deputed Candidates having at least 1 years' experience (as on 07/09/2026) from Govt, Govt. Aided or Govt. sponsored school can apply

** Deputed Candidates must produce original MC/GB Permission, Approval and NOC along with at the time of Counselling

*** Deputed Candidates have no Age limit

1) For Madhyamik (10) marks: put grand total for Bengal board and for ICSE and CBSE put best 5 marks
2) For HS (10+2) marks: put best of 5 marks for all boards
3) If a student is eligible to opt History as a method subject in B.Ed. and studied history as honours / major subject at UG level, the student should follow the instructions given below: In the Total Marks column, enter the total maximum marks allotted to the Major / Major Hons. subject (History) for all relevant years at UG level. In the Marks Obtained column, enter the total marks actually obtained in the major / Hons. subject (History) for all relevant years at UG level. The percentage will be calculated based on the total maximum marks and marks obtained in the major subject (History) only. Example: If History carries a total of 500 marks over all relevant years and the student obtains 425 marks, the percentage will be calculated as follows:

Percentage = (425÷500) ×100=85%
4) If a student is eligible to opt for History as a method subject in B.Ed. and has studied History as a Pass/General/Minor subject at the UG level, the student should follow the instructions given below: Select qualification at UG level as Pass/General graduate. In the Total Marks column, enter the total maximum marks allotted for all subjects for all relevant years at UG level. In the Marks Obtained column, enter the total marks actually obtained in all subjects for all relevant years at UG level. The percentage will be calculated based on the total maximum marks and the total marks obtained in all subjects. Example: If the total allotted marks are 1,650 and the marks obtained are 1,200:

Percentage = (1200÷1650) ×100=72.73%
