The Principal, being the academic and administrative head of the institution, shall:
Formulate institutional policies and action plans aligned with the vision, mission, and statutory mandates of the College and the affiliating University.
Promote academic excellence, research culture, innovation, and holistic student development.
Ensure effective implementation of NEP curriculum, internal assessment, and quality assurance initiatives.
Maintain coordination with the University, Government authorities, and statutory bodies for smooth functioning of the College.
Place policy matters, budget proposals, and developmental plans before the Advisory Committee.
Ensure transparency in recruitment, financial management, and institutional decision-making.
Encourage faculty and staff professional development through orientation, refresher programmes, and training.
Maintain a supportive and inclusive environment responsive to students’ academic and emotional needs.
Promote gender sensitivity, equity, and anti-discriminatory practices on campus.
Uphold fairness and natural justice in all disciplinary matters concerning students and employees.
Act upon stakeholder feedback and initiate remedial measures for institutional improvement.
Ensure compliance with statutory regulations relating to anti-ragging, grievance redressal, ICC, and ethics committees.
Every teacher of this college shall:
Maintain punctuality and sign attendance register as prescribed.
Complete syllabus within stipulated time and ensure quality classroom delivery.
Adopt innovative pedagogical methods including ICT, blended learning, and participatory teaching.
Undertake mentoring, counselling, and remedial teaching for slow and advanced learners.
Participate in internal assessment, examination duties, paper setting, evaluation, and academic administration.
Maintain integrity, objectivity, and confidentiality in teaching and evaluation.
Avoid plagiarism and uphold research ethics in publications and projects.
Refrain from private coaching or activities that conflict with institutional responsibilities.
Participate in college committees, extension activities, outreach programmes, and community services.
Remain present on campus during working hours and report at least 30 minutes before examination duties.
Seek prior permission for leave and academic engagements outside the institution
Maintain respectful and non-discriminatory behaviour towards students, colleagues, and staff.
Foster inclusive classroom practices and encourage critical thinking and academic freedom within ethical limits.
Every non-teaching staff of the college shall:
Attend office punctually and remain on duty during prescribed hours unless permitted otherwise.
Follow lawful instructions of the Principal and maintain administrative hierarchy.
Maintain accuracy, confidentiality, and proper record keeping in official work.
Demonstrate honesty, integrity, courtesy, and impartiality in dealing with students and stakeholders.
Avoid misuse of official position, resources, or confidential information.
Maintain decorum, teamwork, and accountability in all institutional activities.
Laboratory staff shall maintain laboratories, equipment, and safety protocols and assist teachers during practical classes.
Library staff shall ensure proper cataloguing, circulation, and user support services.
Technical and support staff shall ensure maintenance of infrastructure, ICT, and campus facilities.
Every student of the college shall:
Carry valid Identity Card and produce it when required.
Maintain discipline, decorum, and respect for teachers, staff, and peers
Follow college rules, notifications, and academic calendar.
Attend classes regularly and participate actively in academic activities.
Submit assignments, projects, and examination requirements honestly and timely.
Refrain from unfair means, plagiarism, or malpractice in examination.
Protect college property and maintain cleanliness of the campus.
Avoid ragging, harassment, discrimination, or any form of violence.
Participate in off-campus events representing the College only after prior approval.
Refrain themselves from Political or disruptive activities within campus that disturb academic atmosphere.
Refrain from cyber-misconduct.
void posting defamatory or harmful content affecting the institution or individuals.
Observe gender sensitivity, inclusivity, and cultural harmony.
Any violation of the above Code of Conduct may invite disciplinary action, including but not limited to:
Warning or censure
Withdrawal of privileges
Monetary penalty for damage to property
Suspension from academic or administrative duties
Debarment from examinations or classes
Termination or expulsion as per statutory provisions
Or any other action deemed appropriate by the competent authority following principles of natural justice.
